How Magnesium Cream Became Root2Rise’s First Signature Product

While Root2Rise Creations began in the quiet healing space of our garden and homestead, the public story of Root2Rise really began with a need much closer to home—helping my daughters find relief from chronic back pain.

A few of my daughters were dealing with chronic back pain, and I wanted to find something that could bring them relief. During that search, I began learning more about magnesium—its benefits, the many ways it supports the body, and the reality that many people are low in magnesium and struggle to get the recommended daily amount.

As I researched, I quickly realized there was much more to magnesium than I first understood. One of my daughters, Sabrina, who is a Registered Dietitian, helped educate me on the different types of magnesium and the ways they are used. With her insight and the research I was gathering, I began experimenting with topical magnesium cream recipes.

My goal was simple: create a product that could help relieve the chronic back pain my daughters were experiencing.

What I discovered was something our whole family quickly came to love.

The magnesium cream not only helped with back pain, but it also became part of our evening routines. Rubbed onto the feet at night, it seemed to help with sleep and reduce nighttime twitches. It became a gentle, practical support for rest. Because the recipe was thoughtfully customized and made with lavender grown on our homestead, it was also kid-friendly enough to become part of my grandbabies’ bedtime routines.

The benefits did not stop there.

Before long, they were asking me to make jars not only for themselves, but for their friends as well.

That is when I realized this was more than a family remedy. It was the beginning of something meant to be shared.

The Lavender Magnesium Cream became the first product Root2Rise Creations officially offered, and in many ways, it is where the public story of Root2Rise began. About five years later, it remains one of our best sellers, a signature item, and a product that brings customers back again and again.

Over time, other variations followed as customers looked for something that suited their preferences. Sacred Earth Magnesium Cream became especially popular among those who prefer a more earthy, subtle, and unisex scent. More recently, I was told by a customer that Root2Rise magnesium creams worked better for them than any other high-dollar competing magnesium cream they had tried. Hearing feedback like that never gets old, because it reminds me why this all began in the first place.

At Root2Rise, our products are not created just to be pretty things on a shelf. They are born from real needs, real people, and a real desire to offer comfort, care, and intention through what we make.

In many ways, that story continues with every product we create.
